Part of Your World

If you’ve been around long enough for this blog (which if you’re reading this right after I publish.. you have been, congrats!!!), then you’ll know that I fell in love with Abby Jimenez’s writing after reading Yours Truly. Her writing style has the reader captured and feeling what the characters are feeling.

Part of Your World is the first in a series of three that Abby J wrote. I read the series all out of order, so the first book is actually the last one I read. That being said, this novel was just as good as the other two in the series. We are introduced to a big shot doctor and journey with her as she slowly falls in love with the small town country boy.

If you like a mildly angsty (I don’t want to say slow-burn but kinda slow-burn) love story, then this book will be a hit for you. It’s a beautiful story that is much more complex than the two main characters falling in love. For those of us with mommy or daddy issues or maybe even both, this book hits close to home. Also for those of us who have been in emotionally abusive relationship, this book also hits. The story includes details and plots about the importance of friendship and about pursuing what YOU want instead of people-pleasing.

As a fellow healthcare worker and people pleaser, I loved this book and wish that real life tied up as neatly as the end of this story does. I strongly recommend this book, as I would any other Abby J book that I’ve read. Love to read her stories!
